A Next Level Adventure
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
A vile dragon has just taken over Crowrook Castle, plunging all of Numland into its reign of terror. But a young hero (that's you!!!) rises from their bed to save the day! Explore the land, talk to people, and defeat monsters to level up! Get the highest number, overthrow the lizard tyrant and become the strongest in all of Numland!!!!
On your adventure, please remember the following:
- Use WASD or Arrow Keys to move.
- Walk into people, signs, monsters, etc. to talk to them.
- Somethings have multiple lines of dialog, indicated by a little ... animation in the bottom right corner. Read them all!
- If you walk into a monster with a lower level than yours, you'll kill it and gain a level.
- If you're stuck, explore around to find new people, monsters, and areas you haven't seen yet.
- If you're REALLY stuck, check out areas you've already been to. You may have missed something!
This game does NOT save your progress. If you close the window, you'll lose all your progress sorry.
Game length: Main adventure is expected to take 30 minutes, the postgame will extend that to ~1 hour. Please note that the postgame is completely optional!!! Only play it if you want to see how far the rabbit hole goes. (Don't worry, you'll know when you reach the postgame)

so silly! love the concept and the execution is fantastic. really nice pacing. loved the graphics (autumn-flavoured!) and i'm so happy. thank you
nicely done. I can't wait for the OST remaster to come out :)
I WON
I loved this, it was extremely funny.
This absolutely rules. Nothing on earth more precious than a very silly, very funny joke, seen through to its most absurd conclusion possible. Please keep making games, I wanna play whatever you come up with!
thank you!!!! high praise!!!!! side note, i was worried that the joke would get a bit stale over the course of the game, but it really just gets funnier every time
I had fun! love the concept, I'd love to see this idea built on a bit more but I also really like the simplicity
Fantastic game. Lots of fun, and great writing + humor + level design. I might have gone slightly more insane than the other commenter.
Is this free?
Yes!
Beautiful soundtrack. I kept it on full blast the whole time
Finally, an unpretentious take on videogame violence!
Well done!
lots of fun, super clever, and full of cute little jokes. and a perfect, concise example of using gameplay to tell the story
Yep, I've gone insane.
Can you publish something for us poor OS users? ToT
Sorry, I've added a mac build but it's currently untested. If it works/doesn't work please lmk!
Yup! Seems to work :D thanks so much it was a pleasure!
